We did a stop for the day in Acapulco on our NCL Mexican Riviera Cruise.   The stop was actually very significant in that we were the first cruise ship to dock in Acapulco in several years due to turmoil in the area.    There was  a huge armed presence everywhere we went during the day on a ships excursion. 

We had no issues and it was a beautiful area.
