Welcome to Civita de Bagnoregio

in 2018 instead of going into Rome again we elected to do an excursion from the port of Civitaecchia to this mountain village.  It truly is built on the top of the mountain with only one way in and out.   The sides have been slowly eroding away and if we go back in a couple of thousand years a great deal of it will probably be gone.   We’ll see.

It is unique place and just full of old world charm.  Of all the places we have been to this appears to be the only one where not one person spoke English.  At the restaurant we ate lunch at there was a lot of pointing and grunting, but we got a good lunch.  The views were great.   Fun day.
