Welcome to Costa Maya
We docked for the day in Costa Maya. We took an excursion inland to the ruins of Chacchoben, which are like the Tulum ruins 7 miles north, and are both excellent examples of Mayan ruins.
The cruise line has a bar and pool area for the guests to hang out in if they want. I believe they have really upgraded the area since we were there.

- Tourist Beach area
- No real town right there
- Village of Xcalak closest a few miles away with population of 600
- Basically a place for cruise ships to anchor.
