We first visited Egypt in February of 2020 just before the pandemic took hold.   After exiting the Suez Canal we stopped for two nights in the port town of Safaga.   We traveled on a very long ships excursion to the town of Luxor and then to the Valley of the Kings. 

We loved what we saw, so when the opportunity arose we went back to Eygpt for an 11 day visit in January 2023.  It started with 3 days in Cairo, then a 7 day riverboat cruise on the Nile and then one final day in Cairo before heading home.  It was a phenomenal trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested in some amazing history.
