Welcome to Green Island

We visited Green Island, which is off the coast of Cairns, by taking about an hour boat ride. While our friends Gary and Judy stayed on the island with me, Joy traveled by boat another hour plus to a floating snorkeling platform over a spectacular portion of the Great Barrier Reef to snorkel.

The three of us toured the small Island which has many beaches, (where we snorkeled from shore), a upscale hotel, and small zoo and great walking trails.  We also did a glass bottom boat ride in the area. It was a really enjoyable day.
