From Cairns we took 7.5 Kilometer Skyrail Rain Forest cable car ride up into the mountains to the Village of Kuranda.  There we visited a Zoological park where Joy got to hold a Koala Bear (only one of two places in Australia at the time).  The picture of the plane wreck was inside the zoo and there was no explanation for it.   Then after wandering about the quaint little town for a while, we then took the Kuranda train back down the mountain arriving in Cairns about an hour later.   A really interesting day and a great way to see the area.
