After leaving Lake Como we headed west to Lake Maggiore, which was the last stop on our Switzerland/ Northern Italy train and bus tour.   Our hotel was right on the water and the lake is huge with some islands in the center.   We did a little tour of the area and then on the final night we did a great dinner on one of little islands after taking a boat tour of the lake.   Northern Italy is such a beautiful area and I would love to go back.   From here we took a train to Basel, Switzerland and joined a Viking Rhine river cruise.
