We visited Milford Sound Fjord as part of the land tour of Australia and New Zealand.  This was a day trip out of Queenstown and a great trip.   The ride to Milford Sound let us see local communities, as well as a stop at a snow pack still there in the middle of their summer, and a beautiful waterfall.   The cruise on the Milford Sound was very enjoyable and we got to see more waterfalls and seals.   Cruise ships actually come into the sound from the ocean as part of some cruises.
