Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya

We started our African safari adventure in Nairobi, after flying from Orlando to Heathrow and then on to Nairobi.   We arrived there early evening and left the next morning for the safari so as you can see below there are really no pictures.  There is one video of us on the highway out of town with just a never ending line of trucks coming into the country from their ports and waiting to get through a checkpoint, sometimes taking up to two days to complete. It gives you a perspective how different peoples lives are around the world and what they have to go through on a daily basis.

On the safari, because of the size of our vehicle, we were allowed only one 22 pound duffel bag of clothes etc.  This is standard for all safaris.  We were coming back to the same hotel at the end of the safari portion before heading to Victoria Falls so we made arrangements to leave our full size suitcases at the hotel with clothes etc. for the rest of the trip.
