Welcome to Vatican City

We took an all day excursion from the port of Civitaecchia into Rome to see the city and to visit the Vatican, which of course is located in the city limits of Rome.     The Vatican was really interesting and since this cruise was our first time in Europe it was an even more impressive place.  I am really glad we had an excursion that got us to the front of the line since the lines to get in were really long.   The place  was really crowded and once again it was impossible to see everything.
