We made two stops in Turkey on our cruise. First was to the amazing city of Istanbul, which has such a rich history that there is something to see everywhere
Then the next port was for the ruins of Ephesus , which is close to the most impressive, and certainly the largest, ruins we’ve ever been to. (Petra would probably give it a run if I ever really compared them).
