We left for the day from Livorno, where were docked on our NCL cruise, on an excursion first to Florence, and then on to Pisa.  This was our first time in Italy and both cities were really impressive.   Florence is just loaded with history and a lot of tv shows have used the city as a backdrop for their stories over the years.  We really enjoyed it.
