Welcome to Cooktown

Cooktown was the Third stop on our 2025 cruise from Auckland to Bali.   It was a tender port as the town itself is very small. We did an excursion to the Black Mountains and then to The Lions Den Pub out in the wilderness.    The Black Mountains were unique in that they were large boulders of Granite, but not that exciting.  The Pub was extremely interesting.  The pub was completely flooded out in Dec of 2023 and you can see the high water mark in the video.
