Welcome to Tenerife
We visited Tenerife for the day on an NCL Canary Islands cruise out of Barcelona. We visited Teide National Park for some very stark views of the countryside. After lunch at a winery we headed to the Seaside town of Puerto de la Cruz to get more of a feel for the area.
Tenerife is the sight of the worst air disaster in aviation history. in 1977 two 747’s collided on the runway resulting in 583 fatalities.
