Welcome to Scotland

& The Scottish Border

After leaving England we stopped at the Scottish Border to pick up a little local color before heading to Edinburgh to really start our visit to Scotland.   We really covered a lot of ground and got a fantastic feel for the country. It is a wonderful country.

One of the highlights of any trip we have ever taken was to go to see the Royal Military Tattoo in Edinburgh.  It’s hard to describe, but it is basically military bands playing a variety of music paired with dancers accompanying them.  See the sample video in Edinburgh, it will be worth it.

As with the other parts of this trip we traveled with our friends John and Susan from North Carolina.
