Welcome to Richard’s Bay

Richards Bay was the 4th stop on the cruise to Cape Town and the 1st in South Africa.  The port we went into really has only one purpose and that is the shipment of coal.  If it’s windy you could get covered by coal dust.  There is nothing to see at the port and the town is actually several miles away with really nothing to see there.  We took a tour out of the city a couple of hours to a game reserve.   While it is not like doing a real safari on open land we did get to see a number of animals.
