Welcome to Stockholm

Stockholm was the last stop on both of our Baltic cruises and it did not disappoint.  It is a beautiful city with great views and lots to see.  We visited the City Hall, which is where the Nobel Peace Prizes Banquet is held each year, and which has some really interesting architecture.

The highlight was visiting the Museum of the fully salvaged ship (Vasa) that sunk on its maiden voyage in 1628 after just a few hundred feet in the harbor.  They found a way to move it and then build a complete Museum around it.

The cruise ride in and out of Stockholm down a long channel was really beautiful and worth the day alone.

On the 2024 cruise we also visited the world famous Ice Bar, as well as an extensive tour of the old town area of Stockholm
